Sol Campbell (35), who spent five seasons at Arsenal between 2001 and 2006 is a vastly experienced player for both club and country. During his distinguished career, Sol has made 462 appearances in the Premier League and is currently fourth on the all-time Premier League appearances list. Campbell has also been a member of the England squad for six major tournaments between 1996 and 2006.
Having recently agreed to rejoin Arsenal on a short-term contract, Sol Campbell has revealed that he plans to play on well beyond the summer of 2010. So, why did you leave in the first place?
He says its not about the money, but it looks eminent that Sol Campbell will officially be back at Arsenal. He played the first half yesterday in Arsenal’s reserve match win against West Ham (4-2).
If he’s match fit for the Premiership, he could definitely give Gallas and Vermaelen some needed rest.
