U.S. fans being priced out of World Cup trip

Travel to South Africa, as exotic as it may sound, has turned out to be prohibitively expensive. Flights from New York to Johannesburg — where most games, including the final, will be played — would normally cost about $1,000, but they will set you back at least $2,500 if travelling during the World Cup.

Dempsey Injury Update

Good news from Fulham FC, “… early indications are positive in that no operation is required. At this stage it is thought that the injury will not prevent him from featuring for Fulham, prior to the end of the season.”

Arsenal 2-0 Bolton

Arsenal swept to a 2-0 victory over Bolton in Owen Coyle’s first match as Wanderers manager. He should be proud of their fighting spirit however as they had plenty of chances to overcome the Gunners. Fulham’s Clint Dempsey knee injury rocks Fulham and US

This is just awful news. Fulham’s American winger Clint Dempsey has suffered suspected cruciate knee ligament damage which could jeopardise his place at the 2010 World Cup.
