When asked to sum up the game in the post-match press conference, Arsene Wenger’s answer was “Beyond Belief”. He went on to say that there’s no other words to describe how a mistake by your goalkeeper (coming out against Rooney, there was no reason for it) and an own-goal by Abou Diaby (there was no one in a Man United shirt around him) could sink your team, especially when you were the better team. I won’t say anything else. It was beyond belief, and yes, Rooney’s dive should be investigated by the FA just like UEFA did on Eduardo (Ok, I’ll say that).
