Battlestar Galactica: Razor
As if the first three seasons weren’t the coolest ever, the writers of Battlestar Galactica are going to wow us even further by giving us a backdrop for season four. To make it even more spectacular, a special two-hour episode, called Razor, will be shown in theatres in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas and Seattle on November 12th. And, its free! Then, the rest of us get to see it when the new season begins November 24th.
For the two of you out there who watch Flash Gordon on Friday nights, there have been Razor flashbacks airing in the middle of the show. For everyone not watching it, you can watch the flashbacks on the Battlestar Galactica site at SciFi.com. These two-minute segments tell the story of young William Adama’s rookie Viper mission during the first Cylon war. In addition to fighting for his very survival against relentless Cylon centurions, Adama makes a terrifying discovery that will come back 40 years later to threaten him, the crew of the Pegasus and the survival of the human race.
These segments aren’t getting replayed during the two-hour Razor episode but they tie in. It will tell the story of Lee Adama’s first mission as the commander of the battlestar Pegasus, and the harrowing tale of that ship’s desperate fight for survival in the immediate aftermath of the Cylon’s genocidal siege of the Twelve Colonies.
So, all of this will set the scene for season 4.
Battlestar Galactica. Best show on television. Ever.
