Lots of Science Fiction News

Good news for those of us fond of SciFi Channel’s geek version of Nothern Exposure, Eureka. SyFy Portal is reporting that Eureka will have a third season. They are also saying that Flash Gordon is finished and the final season of Battlestar Galactica will be broken up into two parts. We’re indifferent.

Various buzz outlets are reporting that Tobey Maguire (Spiderman) is teaming up with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring the anime classic Robotech to the big screen. This follows rumors of several other 80’s cartoon/comic-to-big-screen adaptations going after Transformers-like success: Voltron, Thundercats, and G.I. Joe (without Cobra).

The Movie Blog is reporting that the first Iron Man trailer will be available on Monday.

The Family Guy premieres Sunday night with a retelling of the Star Wars story.

Michael Bay says that the Transformers IMAX release will include additional footage.

UPDATE: SuperHeroHype is reporting that Jon Favreau said a High Definition QuickTime version of the Iron Man trailer will hit Apple.com on Sept. 11.
